Depression
Understand the problem before to solve it

Introduction
Although the word “depression” is often used in everyday language to describe various emotional states – such as sadness, frustration, or disappointment – in clinical terms, depression or “major depressive disorder” is distinct because it is more intense, lasts longer (more than two weeks), and interferes with daily life.
Focus
Depression is considered a mood disorder; people often describe it as a gray cloud weighing them down. Motivation decreases, and it becomes difficult to find joy in activities that were once part of daily routine. There is a persistent sense of fatigue, as if the body itself feels heavy and energy is hard to find, even though activity levels have decreased. Sleep and/or appetite often change as well.
This cycle is further fueled by a pattern of equally “negative” thoughts, such as “What’s the point?” self-blame, or feelings of guilt and anger for not being able to escape this “tunnel.”
